Day 1

 Adelaide - Rawnsley Park or Hawker

  • Depart Adelaide 0730hrs

  • Travel through the northern suburbs and the

  • Adelaide Plains to the Clare Valley.

  • Visit the Sevenhill Winery and Church, South Australia’s first winery.

  • Continue through the Southern Flinders Ranges to Hawker and Rawnsley Park.

  • Visit Arkaroo Rock to view Aboriginal rock art.
      Overnight: Rawnsley Park or Hawker

Day 2

Rawnsley Park - Arkaroola

  • Travel through central Flinders Ranges via

  • Bunyeroo, Brachina and Parachilna Gorges.

  • Visit Wilpena Pound

  • View Australian Wildlife at peace with nature.

  • View Pioneering Heritage of the area.

  • Arrive Arkaroola late afternoon

  • Overnight: Arkaroolar


Day 3

Arkaroola - Marree

  • Take the Ridge Top Tour and experience the most rugged part of the Flinders Ranges.

  • Visit the Quandong Cafe, Leigh Creek Coalfields,

  • Talc Alf, the Ochre Pits and Farina.

  • Overnight: Marree.

 


Day 4

Marree - William Creek

  • Take a 2.2 hr scenic flight over the Birdsville Track and Lake Eyre
  • Travel the Oodnadatta Track.

  • Visit Lake Eyre South, the Mound Springs, Halligan Bay on Lake Eyre North and The William Creek Pub.

  • Overnight: William Creek and have a cold beer with the locals.

Day 5

William Creek - Coober Pedy

  • Travel to Coober Pedy

  • View Australia’s longest fence.

  • Visit Underground Motel, Umoona Mine and other Coober Pedy Sites

  • Underground accommodation (Twin Share)
    Overnight: Coober Pedy

Day 6

Coober Pedy - Woomera

  • Visit the Breakaways

  • Travel to Woomera

  • Visit the Woomera heritage centre.
    Overnight: Woomera

Day 7

Woomera - Adelaide

  • Travel to Port Augusta and Adelaide

  • Visit the Wadlata Outback Centre

  • View one of the longest  wooden jetties in the southern hemisphere

  • Arrive Adelaide Approx 1800hrs
