Day 1

Adelaide - Rawnsley Park

  • Depart Adelaide 0730hrs

  • Travel through the northern suburbs and the

  • Adelaide Plains to the Clare Valley.

  • Visit the Sevenhill Winery and Church, South Australia’s first winery.

  • Continue through the Southern Flinders Ranges to Hawker and Rawnsley Park.

  • Visit Arkaroo Rock to view Aboriginal rock art.
    Overnight: Rawnsley Park

Day 2

Rawnsley Park - Marree

  • Travel through central Flinders Ranges via

  • Bunyeroo and Brachina Gorge.

  • Visit Wilpena Pound

  • View Australian Wildlife at peace with nature.

  • View Pioneering Heritage of the area.

  • Visit the Quandong Cafe, Leigh Creek Coalfields
  • Talc Alf and the Ochre Pits.

  • Overnight: Marree.


Day 3

Marree - William Creek

  • Have a browse around Marree to view the history of the old railway town, Tom Kruse the Birdsville mail man, an open air mosque and the Arabunna aboriginal museum.

  • Travel the Oodnadatta Track.

  • Visit Lake Eyre South, the Mound Springs,

  • Halligan Bay and the William Creek Pub.

  • Overnight: William Creek and have a cold beer with the locals.

 


Day 4

William Creek – Woomera

  • Take a scenic flight over Lake Eyre

  • Travel to Woomera via the Bore field road to

  • Olympic Dam and Roxby Downs

  • Visit the Woomera heritage centre.

  • Overnight: Woomera


Day 5

Woomera - Adelaide

  • Travel to Adelaide via Port Augusta and the coast road (Hwy 1)

  • Visit the Wadlata Outback Centre

  • View one of the longest  wooden jetties in the southern hemisphere

  • Arrive Adelaide Approx 1800hrs
